Description
After World War I, orchestras were hot: they provided music for listening and especially for dancing. To meet the demand for popular novelty ragtime tunes, orchestra leaders arranged the complex piano compositions for their ensembles—a creative and complicated endeavor. This recording features energetic performances of these orchestral rags.
